Meet the Team

Sophie is currently a junior at Langley High School. In the future, she hopes to pursue computer science, and she started the Rising Star Fund because of her passion for helping children reach their fullest potential. In her free time, Sophie loves to read, play tennis, and paint.

Lily is currently a junior at Langley High School. She would like to pursue medicine in the future, and she helped start the Rising Star Fund because of her interest in supporting the community and helping those in need. Some of Lily's hobbies include soccer and playing music.

Sophia is currently a junior at BASIS Independent McLean. She joined the Rising Star Fund because of her belief in equal opportunity. Every child deserves a chance to thrive, and being a part of this cause allows her to make a positive change in their lives. In her free time, Sophia enjoys dancing and crocheting.

Grace is currently a junior at The Madeira School. She joined the Rising Star Fund due to her love for volunteering and helping kids obtain the best education possible. Some of Grace’s hobbies include volleyball, baking, and talking to her friends!

Asiya is currently a junior at Langley High School. In the future, she hopes to major in Public Health and pursue a career in the field of medicine. Asiya joined the Rising Star Fund because she believes all children should have access to the same resources and enjoys volunteering to help others in her community. Outside of her role as Event Coordinator, Asiya enjoys participating in Model UN, hanging out with her friends, and traveling.

Phillip is currently a junior at Centreville High School. In the future, he hopes to pursue a career in the dental field. He joined the Rising Star Fund because he believes that a fair education should be accessible to everyone, and he wants to help underprivileged children receive the best education possible. Some of his hobbies include playing volleyball and creating pottery.

Arnavi is currently a junior at the Madeira School. She joined the Rising Star Fund to help underprivileged kids and give them the same opportunities as others. She loves to volunteer and make other people’s voices heard in their communities. Arnavi’s hobbies include soccer, reading, and hanging out with friends.

Joelle is currently a junior at Centreville High School. She aspires to go to pursue a technology career in the future. She joined the Rising Star Fund because she believes that every student is entitled to enriching and high-quality education. Outside of academics, Joelle does fine art, reading, baking, and dancing.

Chloe is currently a junior at Langley High School. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in medicine or business. She joined the Rising Star Fund because she believes that all children deserve the best education, and hopes to make a difference in underprivileged children’s lives. Some of Chloe’s hobbies are art and traveling.
